Year 5 Trip to Exeter

Year 5 visited St Nicholas Priory as part of their project, ‘Off With Her Head’ about the life of the Tudor Monarchs. They learned about the history of the Priory and how Henry VIII dissolved a lot of the monasteries during his reign. Later, they found out about food that poor and rich Tudors would have eaten along with the clothes they wore. The children also played some Tudor games. After visiting Tudor houses in Stepcote Hill, the class visited Exeter Cathedral and learned about Tudor influence here.
