Update from the Executive Headteacher 28/2/21
We are very much looking forward to welcoming all our pupils back to school on Monday 8th March. Arrangements will be very much like they were in September but I will confirm everything in a letter towards the middle of this week. Please keep looking on the website and I will direct you to the letter in due course.
I hope you are all well and looking forward to the full opening of school again.
Best wishes
Katie Gray

WE LOVE TO SEE YOUR CHILDREN'S WORK AND GIVE THEM SOME FEEDBACK so even if you are struggling to access Google Classroom and you're working through paper packs please try to take a photo every day of something the children are proud of and something they might like some help with. Then email it to your class teacher or to admin@littleham.devon.sch.uk. If we see the work that the children are producing we can tell them how well we think they are doing, help them with anything they are finding tricky and put some of their work on the class displays which will be photographed for the school website.

HOW TO GET ONTO THE HOME LEARNING ON OUR WEBSITE
If using a mobile phone please turn your screen to landscape to enable you to view the menu properly. Do not try to use the 'login' option - that is for us at school to update the website.
Please choose the 'Parent' tab, followed by the 'Home Learning 20/21' tab and then choose your child's year group. You should then find a grid of activities for this week. Google Classroom activities will supplement this grid from next Monday. Thank you

Update from the Executive Headteacher 4/1/21
Following the Prime Minister's announcement tonight we will only be open tomorrow 5th January for children who were identified as Key Workers/Vulnerable during the initial lockdown in March-June 2020. If your circumstances have changed or you are new to the school and think you are eligible for a key worker place please email the school on admin@littleham.devon.sch.uk tomorrow and we will confirm whether you can have a place from Wednesday going forward.
For those children attending school tomorrow please arrive at the time your bubble would have arrived in the morning.
For those children working from home the home learning grid will be available by 8.30am tomorrow morning.
PLEASE ALL LOOK AGAIN AT THE WEBSITE TOMORROW WHERE WE WILL POST MORE INFORMATION ABOUT HOME LEARNING PROVISION, FREE SCHOOL MEAL PROVISION AND OTHER GUIDANCE AS IT COMES THROUGH TO US.

Thank you for all your support at this uncertain time.

Applying For Free School Meals
During the Covid-19 pandemic, the financial situation for many families has changed and we have seen a steady growth in the number of pupils eligible for free school meals. At Littleham C of E, we were quick to act regarding FSM for our families and provided our existing FSM families with hampers on a weekly basis.

The government recently announced that they will provide vouchers per pupil for families in receipt of free school meals to help with the costs of food over the summer holidays. Many families are unaware that they are entitled to this support so below we outline the various reasons why you might be able to apply for this.

Children qualify for free school meals if you get one of the following benefits:
• Universal Credit and your household income after tax is less than £7,400 per year (not including any benefits you get)
• Child Tax Credit, as long as you are not getting
• Working Tax Credit and have an annual income of less than £16,190
• income-related Employment and Support Allowance
• Income Support
• Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance
• The guarantee part of Pension Credit
• Asylum seeker support
• Children aged between 16 and 18 who are getting Universal Credit in their own name can also get free school meals
It is easy to find out if you qualify, click the link below and complete a simple form.
You will be notified instantly if you are eligible. The process is fairly straight forward, as you just need to provide your name, child’s name, school name and importantly your NATIONAL INSURNACE NUMBER. If you are eligible, please screen shot or send that confirmation to us at admin.littleham.devon.sch.uk and you will then be able to claim these vouchers for the summer holidays and beyond. Of course the free school meals team will also notify us but not as instant as you notifying us.
