Littleham C of E Primary School
Inspiring one another to live life in all its fullness (John 10:10)
Littleham C of E Primary School is a welcoming and caring school rooted in Christian values. We are situated near to an area of outstanding natural beauty. With Exmouth beach a short walk away and sights to behold upon Woodbury Common among others, the local area plays a significant part in our curriculum offer. As well as the local area, Littleham C of E Primary has extensive grounds, including a sizeable garden area, large playing field and forest school. It is important that all of our pupils experience the great outdoors through their learning and we feel we are in the perfect position to provide just that. Our skilled, supportive and passionate staff are there to ensure that every pupil becomes a life longer learner. We encourage all interests and talents to be celebrated and this is exemplified by the range of sporting events the school takes part in and variety of after school clubs that are provided throughout the year. From football and BMX club to pottery, the school provides a diverse range of exciting after school activities!
Through Christian values, we nurture and encourage all our pupils to conduct themselves with the highest of expectations and this includes supporting and inspiring one another to make the most of every single day. The school works closely with the local clergy in the community, who regularly lead Collective Worship and bring to life the teachings from the Bible. The local church, St Margaret and St Andrew’s, is also used to celebrate the main events in the Christian calendar: a time when the whole school and wider community comes together.
Littleham C of E Primary is part of The Jubilee with Pebblebed Federation with Branscombe, Broadhembury, Farway, Littleham and Woodbury Salterton Church of England Primary Schools. As part of the Jubilee with Pebblebed Federation, we embrace working collaboratively to improve the outcomes for all children whilst retaining our unique Christian character.
The Jubilee with Pebblebed Federation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We have a number of policies and procedures in place that contribute to our safeguarding commitment, including our Child Protection Policy which can be viewed in the Policies section of our website. Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a child’s welfare. We will ensure that our concerns about our pupils are discussed with his/her parents/carers first unless we have reason to believe that such a move would be contrary to the child’s welfare.
